COVID-19 UPDATE

To our partners, customers, and concerned family members, and to the tireless Executive Directors, Nursing Home Administrators, and Directors of Nursing we work with, 


Mercury is doing everything we can to continue operations uninterrupted. Even in these times, we strive to provide the best customer service in the industry. Like many of us receiving daily COVID-19 updates, we adjust our routines and work environment as needed to meet the necessary new health and safety guidelines.  We are actively monitoring developments in our area and taking every precaution available to meet your changing needs. Just some of the steps we have taken include:


1.  Increased contact and monitoring of our supply chains to make sure we have the sufficient stock needed to continue serving our partners and customers for the next several months


2.  Proactively reaching out to physicians for refill authorizations and formulary changes as supply chains change 
 

3.  Working with your insurance carriers to fill your medications for 30 days and ensure every fill is billed correctly
 

4.  Label and package E-Kits with extra diligence, adjusting to individual community guidelines as to how to enter the buildings or where to deliver totes
 

5.  Maintain our regular 24/7 access to a pharmacist with increased support online to answer your questions about medication orders and deliveries
 

6.  Only indispensable pharmacy assistants, technicians, pharmacists, and administrative staff are working on-site to fulfill our delivery goals, setting up remote access for all other staff to work from home
 

7.  Daily, internal screenings of employees to check for symptoms, fevers, or potential exposure to an infected individual
 

8.  Requiring all staff to clean their workstations before and after every shift, with hand sanitizer available at every desk and hand soap available by every sink
 

9.  Educating our staff about the importance of “social distancing”, avoiding direct person-to-person contact, and utilizing electronic channels for frequent communication


We will continue to be adaptable as the situation develops and will make the necessary modifications to protect the well-being of those we serve. We are working alongside the Washington State Department of Health, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, and other official health organizations to act accordingly and uphold our commitment to our communities and residents.
